Tax Returns

In the UK, some people are required to complete a tax return every year. This is a form in which you declare your income for that tax year as well as any relevant capital gains.

Tax returns are sent directly to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) online. They determine how much tax you need to pay or if you are, in fact owed a rebate.

If you are self-employed, there is the option to complete the tax return yourself via self-assessment using the HMRC website. However, this can be time-consuming, confusing and requires you to have all the necessary information to hand. Mistakes can be costly and difficult to rectify so it pays to get it right the first time.
