Changes to the national minimum wage will apply from 1st October 2014
From 1 October 2014 the National Minimum Wage will increase to £6.50 per hour for workers aged 21 and over, to £5.13 for those workers aged 18 to 20 and to £3.79 for those aged 16 to 17. For apprentices, those under 19 or 19 or over and, in the first year of their apprenticeship, the national minimum wage rose to £2.73 per hour.
